New royal wax figures at Madame Tussauds spark debate
New wax figures of the royal couple have been unveiled at Madame Tussauds in London. Photographs of the wax Kate and William have surfaced in the media.
Historically, statues were erected to honour the famous, but today, they can expect wax figures. Although such creations are certainly a great honour, they do not always meet expectations. Sometimes the waxworks fail to resemble the individuals they are intended to depict, and can even appear as caricatures.
New wax figures of Kate Middleton and Prince William leave internet users divided
New representations of the royal couple have recently been unveiled at Madame Tussauds in London. Photographs of the wax Kate and William have surfaced in the media. The Duchess is depicted in a shiny pink dress designed by Jenny Packham, accessorised with a replica of Princess Diana’s tiara. Her husband is attired in a smart tailcoat.
However, the couple's faces draw the most scrutiny. While the likenesses of the son of King Charles III and his wife are not as caricatured as those in Krakow, internet users have expressed some reservations.
Horrible, doesn’t look like William at all, and Kate’s eyes are definitely not right; William is horrible! He looks more like Diana’s father, Earl Spencer, than William; Sorry, but they don’t even look like them. It’s an insult; You need to fix it; William looks like an old man - write unconvinced fans.
