Russian strikes on Ukraine leave 11 dead, 30 injured
At least 11 people were killed and more than 30 were injured due to Russian drone and missile attacks on targets in Ukraine from Saturday night to Sunday. Sirens warning of strikes wailed across nearly the entire country, authorities reported.

The most casualties are in the Khmelnytskyi region in the western part of the country; four people were killed there, and five were injured.
"Last night, the Khmelnytskyi region came under hostile Russian fire, which resulted in the destruction of civilian infrastructure... Unfortunately, four people were killed," informed Serhii Tyurin, head of the regional authorities.
In the Kyiv region, three people were killed, and ten people were injured, including two children, the authorities reported. The Russians attacked several districts of the capital region, and their strikes caused multiple fires.
In the Zhytomyr region in north-western Ukraine, three children aged 8 to 17 were killed. Twelve people were injured.
Drone hit an apartment block
One person was killed and five were injured after drone attacks in Mykolaiv in southern Ukraine. One of the machines hit a five-storey block. "Three floors of the building were destroyed, others were damaged. Two women were pulled from the rubble; one was hospitalised in critical condition (…). Two hundred and ten residents were evacuated," reported the State Emergency Service.
Three people were injured in Kharkiv in north-eastern Ukraine. The opponents attacked the Shevchenkivskyi district in the northern part of the city.
Another night of attacks
This was already the second night of intense Russian attacks on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, despite the ongoing prisoner exchange, with the next phase announced for Sunday.
As reported Sunday morning by the Operational Command, "due to the cessation of long-range aviation strikes by the Russian Federation on Ukraine, operations of Polish and allied air forces in our airspace have concluded."
It was added that the activated ground air defence and radar reconnaissance systems returned to standard operational activities.
It was noted that "there were no observed violations of the Polish airspace."
