Russia's largest drone assault sparks fires in Ukraine
Russia conducted extensive drone attacks on the Mykolaiv region and Kryvyi Rih, sparking fires and causing damage to buildings. This marks the largest assault on Kryvyi Rih since the onset of the conflict.

- Attack on the Mykolaiv region: On the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, Russian forces targeted the Mykolaiv region in Ukraine with drones. Air defence forces successfully intercepted seven drones.
- Kryvyi Rih under fire: Russia executed the most significant drone attack on Kryvyi Rih since the war began, leading to fires and structural damage. Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties.
- Ceasefire agreements: The United States has forged agreements with Ukraine and Russia to cease attacks over the Black Sea and on energy facilities.
Russia attacked Ukraine
According to Vitalii Kim, head of the military administration in the Mykolaiv region, seven Shahed 131/136 drones were destroyed overnight.
"On the night of 26th March, air defence forces destroyed seven Shahed 131/136 unmanned aerial vehicles in the Mykolaiv region. Yesterday, 25th March, the enemy twice attacked the waters of the Ochakiv community with FPV-type drones. No one was injured," wrote Kim on Telegram.
Additionally, Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych reported emergency power outages in the city.
Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Zelensky
Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, also came under attack.
"It was a difficult evening and night. The enemy launched another assault on Ukraine using Shaheds, marking the most extensive kamikaze drone attack on our city since the war began. This is the occupiers' idea of 'wanting peace'," emphasised Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city's military administration.
The attack resulted in fires and damaged buildings, but fortunately, there were no casualties.
On Tuesday, the United States negotiated agreements with Ukraine and Russia to halt mutual attacks over the Black Sea and on energy targets.
