High temperatures can significantly impact our feet, often causing discomfort and even swelling. Fortunately, many home remedies can help us properly care for our feet. It's easier than it seems.

High temperatures can lead to water retention in the body, resulting in swelling. These can be caused by external and internal factors, such as heart disease, kidney issues, diabetes, or thrombosis.

Vinegar is mainly associated with cooking or cleaning. However, it is also an invaluable tool in the natural care of feet. How do you prepare a home vinegar soak for your feet? Check it out.

Home foot bath

Vinegar is often used to clean various surfaces. Mixed with baking soda, it works great for unclogging drains. However, it also has other uses.

Not everyone knows it can also be used in your daily care routine. It's especially useful in fighting swollen feet. After a long day, it's worth giving them a relaxing soak in water with the addition of vinegar, preferably apple cider vinegar.

Add 250ml of vinegar for every litre of warm water in a basin. Adding 250ml of sea salt and Epsom salt will also help soften the skin. To neutralise the strong smell of vinegar, add some essential oil, preferably lavender, to help you relax.

Soak your feet in this mixture every day for a week—fifteen minutes is enough. Vinegar can also help remove calluses, reduce pain, and treat cracked heels and thickened skin.

Vinegar eliminates unpleasant foot odour

Vinegar is also effective in combating unpleasant foot odour. Such a bath also strengthens nails and helps in treating fungal infections.

However, remember that vinegar should not be used if the feet have irritations or wounds. In such cases, they may heal much more slowly.
