Not only is it delicious and nutritious, but it's also healthy!

Asparagus casserole will conquer your kitchen, but first choose the right vegetables

To make an asparagus casserole, a few basic ingredients are needed. Asparagus is, of course, essential, but the additional ingredients that complement its flavour are equally important. When selecting asparagus, pay attention to its freshness. Here are some tips to assist you:

  1. Asparagus should be firm and flexible. Avoid those that are soft or have wilted ends. Fresh asparagus boasts a vibrant green colour and closed tips.
  2. Select medium-thick spears as they are usually the tastiest.
  3. Fresh asparagus should have a delicate, pleasant aroma. If it smells sour, it's better to leave it.
  4. After purchasing, store the asparagus in the refrigerator; it's advisable to keep them upright in a container with water.
