Axe horror in Herzliya: Woman kills son, walks streets bloodied

Dramatic reports have emerged from Israel involving a 33-year-old woman who unfortunately hacked her 6-year-old son to death with an axe. Following the horrendous act, she took the murder weapon and headed to the shopping mall. According to neighbours, she had been "hearing voices".

As the portal "Times of Israel" reported, the tragedy unfolded on Tuesday in Herzliya. The police were alerted to the presence of a bloodied woman walking down the street, swinging an axe at passersby.

Before officers could arrive on the scene, the 33-year-old woman attempted to enter the shopping mall.

A security guard managed to subdue the woman, sustaining slight injuries in the process. Videos of the horrifying incident have surfaced online.

The footage shows the woman undressing, laughing, posing for pictures, and beginning to meditate.

After the woman's arrest, dramatic details began to emerge. It was discovered that before she went out onto the street, she had killed her 6-year-old son and the family dog with an axe.

The child's body was found by the grandmother, who arrived at the house in the meantime.

The family's neighbours are deeply shaken by the tragedy. They say the woman adored her son, and nothing indicated such a tragedy would occur.

However, some had noticed a change in her behaviour. According to the "Times of Israel" portal, she had been telling friends that she "hears various strange voices in her head".

The motives for the crime are not yet known. The police have stated that the woman "is aware of what she did".

Speculations have also emerged in the media that the 33-year-old survived a Hamas attack on a music festival on October 7. However, the authorities have denied these reports.

It is known that her husband serves in the army. During this tragedy, he was in the Gaza Strip. That is where he learns about the death of his son.
