Where was the epicentre of the earthquake?
The epicentre of the tremors was in central Myanmar, about 50 kilometres east of the city of Monywa. The German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported that the earthquake was shallow, at a depth of just 10 kilometres.
