Brian Thompson: Manhattan's chilling murder mystery unfolds
Brian Thompson, the 50-year-old CEO of UnitedHealth's insurance division, was fatally shot in Manhattan. TMZ confirms that the perpetrator of Thompson's murder arrived in New York by bus from Atlanta ten days before the attack.
Police sources indicate that the suspect arrived in New York on 14th November, taking a Greyhound bus to the Port Authority bus terminal in Manhattan before checking into a hostel.
Thompson was shot on Wednesday morning in front of a hotel in a planned attack. The perpetrator fled the scene on a Citi Bike.
Police spoke with a hostel employee who flirted with the suspect and convinced him to lower his mask, which allowed for photographs of his face to be obtained.
The motive remains unknown, but on the bullet casings, there were words found: "deny," "defend," and "depose". Police are investigating whether these inscriptions may indicate a motive for the crime.

Thompson sustained injuries to his chest. He was immediately transported to Mount Sinai Hospital. He was already in critical condition upon arrival. Doctors were unable to save him.
