The Canadian anti-missile defence system NASAMS, ordered from the USA, has been delivered to Ukraine. NASAMS, or National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System, is capable of deploying short and medium-range missiles. It can be utilised for defence against drones, missiles, and air attacks. The value of the system is 406 million Canadian dollars (278 million euros). Since February 2022, Canada has provided Ukraine with over 300 missiles for air defence.
Minister Blair expressed gratitude to the United States and Norway for their cooperation in transporting the system. NASAMS is crucial for protecting Ukraine's critical infrastructure and cities from destructive air attacks.
