Another recording has emerged online, raising concerns about Joe Biden's health. Internet users claim that the President of the United States seemed "completely absent" while standing next to Kamala Harris at the airport, where prisoners released by Russia as part of an exchange with the USA were being welcomed.

According to the dailymail.co.uk portal, the Vice President of the USA took command of the important event – the historic prisoner exchange between the United States and Russia. Kamala Harris, commenting on the situation, expressed gratitude towards Joe Biden's actions.

- As vice president, it has been my honour to work alongside our president, Joe Biden, to bring home more than 70 Americans in the last three and a half years. And we will never waver in our commitment to bring home every American who has been wrongfully detained or held hostage. That is my solemn commitment to my fellow Americans, which I will always honour – said Kamala Harris.

Harris, who is set to be the Democrats' presidential candidate, said, "This is just an extraordinary testament." At the same moment, 81-year-old Joe Biden seemed to be "completely absent," write internet users. The recording shows him staring into space while Vice President Kamala Harris conversed with a reporter.

As "Daily Mail" notes, Biden moved only once to scratch his head. "Joe Biden is gone. This is pathetic" – commented Nick Sortor on the X platform.

What is happening with Joe Biden?

After Joe Biden announced his decision to withdraw from the presidential race, he supported Kamala Harris as his successor. The decision to withdraw came after weeks of growing concerns about his mental acuity, which arose after an unsuccessful debate with former President Donald Trump.

As reported by the "Daily Mail" portal, many medical experts suggest that a noticeable cognitive decline in Biden may be associated with Parkinson's disease. It has been revealed that a doctor specialising in this disease has been regularly visiting the White House.

Dr Ernst von Schwarz, a cardiologist from California, noted in an interview with the "Daily Mail" that Biden's "dry mouth, fixed stare, very little... hand movements and gestures... could be signs of cognitive decline" may suggest cognitive decline. This is a result of ageing or neurodegenerative conditions, such as dementia. He also added that these symptoms might also be side effects of the medications used.
