Crispy delights: Chicken to seafood in sesame coatings
Chicken pieces in a crispy coating are perfect not only for dinner but also as a snack. They are enjoyable both hot and cold. You can serve them on rice with vegetables, mix them with a salad, or accompany them with a bold sauce such as sriracha mayo or Greek tzatziki.
A breadcrumb coating is just one of many methods for achieving a golden and crispy layer on chicken pieces. Another intriguing idea is to mix breadcrumbs with cornflakes. Simply crush them with a mallet or blend them into a powder. To add a cheesy touch, you can include sesame seeds, crushed walnuts, or grated Parmesan in the coating.
Not just chicken in sesame coating
You can fry various items in a golden coating. Combined with sesame seeds, seafood such as prawns or calamari turns out exceptionally well. Using this method, you can also coat pieces of fish, tofu, or even mozzarella balls.
In Japan, vegetables fried in tempura, a light batter, are a popular snack. In China, fried ice cream with a coconut coating is served as a dessert.
