Diddy's scandal: Celebrity hush money deals revealed

The case of Diddy continues to captivate the media. According to the latest findings from foreign tabloids, well-known friends of the arrested rapper are allegedly paying his victims to ensure their names are not mentioned during the upcoming court trials.

All eyes have been on Sean "Diddy" Combs for several weeks. The rapper's arrest caused quite a stir in the showbiz world and is currently one of the hottest topics in the media. The author of the hit "I'll Be Missing You" was detained in New York in the Park Hyatt hotel in Manhattan in mid-September. Prosecutors accuse the 54-year-old of extortion, human trafficking in a sexual context, and involvement in organising the transport of young women forced into prostitution.

During a search at Diddy's house, about 4 dozen bottles of baby oil were found, which were allegedly used as a lubricant during lengthy orgies. The lawyer representing the star claims that his client is "unjustly pursued" and intends to cooperate with the authorities to clarify everything. The defence fought to release the rapper from custody and proposed to post a significant bail, but their request was denied.

In the 14-page indictment, Diddy is also noted for hosting sex parties fuelled by drugs and alcohol and often filled with violence. It is no secret that top-tier American stars attended the rapper's controversial house parties and have been worried about their reputations for several weeks. According to foreign tabloids, some celebrities associated with Combs have supposedly reached an agreement with the rapper's alleged victims to avoid having their names publicly mentioned in court trials.

Attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents 120 of Diddy's alleged victims, told TMZ on Monday that he has sent letters demanding that many top-tier stars who had even the slightest knowledge of the rapper's alleged antics "resolve matters" privately. He also announced that the names of those who refuse to cooperate will certainly be revealed during court trials.

If you were attending one of these parties […] and you attended before or you knew what was going to happen — that is, you knew that a particular drug was being used in drinks that was causing people to be coerced and taken advantage of—and you were there in the room or you participated or you watched it happen and didn’t say anything or you helped cover it up, in my view, you have a problem, said the lawyer during the press conference.

Buzbee also stated that "many people" knew about Combs' "freak-offs" or participated in them but remained silent. He believes these people should be held accountable and plans to ensure that happens. The attorney also noted that the only way some celebrities can maintain their anonymity is to settle with the alleged victims. Among the stars who partied with Diddy in the past are Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Leonardo DiCaprio, Usher, the Kardashians, and Jennifer Lopez.
