On Thursday, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine using various types of missiles. One purportedly used was an intercontinental ballistic missile, according to the Ukrainian army. The missile was reportedly launched from Russia's Astrakhan region, located by the Caspian Sea.
At present, the claims of the Ukrainian army cannot be verified.

Russia did not use an intercontinental ballistic missile in Thursday's attack against Ukraine, writes ABC News, quoting information from a Western official. It was a ballistic missile aimed at the city of Dnipro, says the official to ABC News.
Meanwhile, Russia has not commented on these reports. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov declined to comment, stating that all questions should be directed to the Russian Ministry of Defence.

In total, Russia used six strategic bombers to carry out Thursday's attack. At least three people were killed, and 22 were injured.
As a result of the attack, emergency power outages were enforced in several regions of Ukraine, including the Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk regions.
