In 2021, plagued by serious injuries, the striker ended his professional football career. He still occasionally appears on the pitch, but more for recreational purposes. Additionally, he uses this time to develop his passion for music.
Djibril Cissé became known to fans of three of the five strongest leagues in Europe, as he played for clubs in his home country of France, as well as England and Italy. The striker was a colourful personality off the pitch as well, which helped him win the hearts of fans. He broke into major European football at the turn of the century at AJ Auxerre, where he remains a fan favourite to this day.
Recently, Djibril Cissé appeared at the stadium in Auxerre, but in a different role than two decades ago when he was breaking scoring records. The striker scored an impressive 70 goals for the club, where he is an alumnus.
This time, the former athlete took his place at the DJ console and helped with the musical arrangement. He worked on a track, without which football matches perhaps no longer seem to occur.
