The news of Duchess Kate's cancer diagnosis not only shocked the United Kingdom but also moved fans of the British royal family around the world. The Princess of Wales stated that she is taking every step to overcome the unwelcome "invader."

Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes - said Kate Middleton.

All loyal fans of the island royals closely followed the progress of her treatment, and not only court experts but also doctors and professors spoke on the matter. They focused, among other things, on why Duchess Kate did not lose her hair during chemotherapy.

Why Duchess Kate did not lose her hair during chemotherapy

Prof. Karin Jordan, a specialist from the German Oncology Society, said that chemotherapy and medications do not affect all patients' bodies in the same way. Depending on the treatments, reactions can vary. That is why Duchess Kate did not lose her hair.

Other media report that the Duchess' therapy was chosen so her hair did not fall out. It's possible that she was taking pills, which minimises the occurrence of side effects. Doctors may have also decided to use scalp cooling or immunotherapy, but these details are not confirmed.
