Former Yanukovych adviser Andriy Portnov shot dead in Madrid
In Madrid, former Ukrainian politician Andriy Portnov was shot dead while taking his children to school. In the past, he served as an adviser to the pro-Russian former President of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych.
According to Reuters, citing a source close to the investigation, Andriy Portnov was fatally shot on Wednesday morning in front of the entrance to the American school in Madrid by unidentified assailant(s).
Spanish radio station Cadena SER reports that Portnov, who was an adviser to the pro-Russian former President of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, was in the process of taking his children to school at the time of the incident.
