Hollywood star joins search for missing Broadway dancer
A Hollywood star has become involved in the search for Zelig Williams, a 28-year-old dancer renowned for performing in award-winning musicals such as "Hamilton" and "MJ: The Musical". He has been missing for a week.
The 28-year-old was last seen on 3rd October, when he was leaving his mother Kathy Williams' house. On the same day, a friend from New York received an alert from his phone suggesting a car accident had occurred. The police found his car two days later; however, there were no signs of a collision.
Hugh Jackman joins the search efforts
Zelig Williams, who also performed with Hugh Jackman during his "The Man. The Music. The Show." tour, has received significant support from the artistic community. Jackman posted a plea on Instagram: "Please … if anyone has any information as to the whereabouts of Zelig Williams please reach out to your local authorities."
Williams' family believes that Zelig will return home. The dancer's mother appeals to anyone with information to share it with the investigators. She notes that her son needs to take medication and may be in a challenging situation. Recently, Williams had been imparting Broadway knowledge to young people. His family and friends remain hopeful for his safe return.
Hugh Jackman has performed in many Broadway plays and received a Tony Award, the theatrical equivalent of an Oscar, for "The Boy from Oz".
