The woman was nearing the end of the half-mile route when witnesses noticed she began having problems with her harness. Witnesses claim that the tourist was not properly strapped in, and additional safety checks were not conducted before the ride started.

Suddenly, the woman fell, striking the ground with force. Her family, waiting at the end of the route, witnessed the tragic fall.

Footage from the ride showed that the leg straps were incorrectly positioned, and at some points, the harness was not visible. The family has hired a lawyer, accusing the zip line operator of negligence.

Italy. Investigation after the tragic death in the mountains

The investigation revealed "very serious failings" on the part of the cable car owner. The report pointed out "systematic irregularities" and "technical and management violations."

Not only the owner will be held responsible for the tragedy, but also his two employees, who were responsible for fitting the harness, as well as the person who gave the signal to start the ride.
