Famous actor and comedian Ben Stiller wholeheartedly supports Kamala Harris's presidential campaign in the 2024 elections. During his appearance at the "Comics for Kamala" event, Stiller made an unusual joke about white Jews who wished to be black.

At the Monday meeting on Zoom, besides Ben Stiller, other well-known celebrities such as Ed Helms, Jon Hamm, and Whoopi Goldberg also participated. The event, hosted by comedian Paul Mercurio, aimed to support Kamala Harris in her bid for the US presidency against Donald Trump. The meeting was organised with the support of Representative Eric Swalwell and producers Dani Zoldan and Jamie Patricof.

The actor donated €145,000 to the candidate

Ben joined the conversation halfway through the meeting, which lasted over three hours. At the beginning, he announced that he matched Mercurio's donation of€145,000, which was given to support the Democrats' campaign and the current Vice President.

He then expressed his excitement at the prospect of Kamala defeating Trump, encouraging everyone to support his candidate. He described Kamala as a "decent person" who cares about democracy while also embodying empathy and a sense of humour. According to Stiller, Harris mobilised young voters who were previously uninterested in politics.

Ben Stiller jokes about racial identity

During his speech, Ben also touched upon the racial issue. Speaking of Kamala as a historic candidate with African American and Indian roots, the actor introduced his unconventional joke about white Jews.

Although Ben Stiller's joke might seem odd, it was delivered peacefully and humorously. However, his main message was more important: "Let's vote for Kamala Harris!" The "Comics for Kamala" meeting ended with raising over €480,000 for Harris's campaign. It's worth noting that a similar event called "White Dudes for Harris" attracted over 190,000 people and raised around €3,856,000 for Harris's election fund.

In the coming days, Kamala Harris, along with vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz, will be travelling through key swing states to garner voter support.
