Conor McGregor has announced his retirement from sports multiple times. However, the Irishman finds it challenging to part ways with MMA. In June 2024, he was supposed to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303, but an injury ultimately thwarted those plans.

Because of this, his fight is now scheduled for late August or early September this year. McGregor is currently following martial arts competitions and has even recently decided to invest.

On Sunday, a boxing event took place in Anaheim, California. In the main event, Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal, UFC veterans, fought. The Irishman decided to bet 460,000 euros on the former's victory.

- I’ve decided to put $500,000 on Diaz to win tonight’s boxing match. Range, form, experience, solely hands being used, I can’t see Masvidal causing any problems to Nate in a boxing ring whatsoever - wrote the Irishman before the fight on his official profile on the X platform.

It must be admitted that the legendary fighter had a keen insight. The fight went the total distance, and the judges declared Diaz the winner by a majority decision, allowing McGregor to enjoy his profit.

Diaz was not the favourite in this about, and the odds for him were over 3. This resulted in the Americans taking home as much as 1.51 million euros. Following this, there was another post on social media.

- THE RICH GET RICHER!!! Well done Nate, congrats! - summarized the Irishman, who faced Diaz twice in his career, with each securing one victory.
