The wax figure portrays Kylian Mbappe, a renowned player from Real Madrid and the French national team, in his distinct pose with crossed arms, wearing the French team's white shirt.

During the creation of the figure, artists paid meticulous attention to detail. Mbappe is dressed in the France national team kit from last year's European Championships, complete with the captain's armband. Notably, the entire outfit was donated by the player himself.

Kylian Mbappe had the opportunity to see his figure in Madrid before it travelled to London. "Let me introduce you my twin," announced the 26-year-old Frenchman on social media, alongside a photo with the wax replica. Jo Kinsey, the director of the London museum studio, highlighted that the player’s response was enthusiastic.

“It was amazing. He said he was honoured but we're really honoured,” said Kinsey, as quoted by France 24.

The process of creating the figure

Before commencing work on the figure, the team of artists met with Mbappe to take comprehensive measurements and photographs. They ensured an accurate replication of his hair, skin, and eye colour, and even conducted a dental scan. During this meeting, they also discussed with the player the pose in which he would be captured.

Kylian Mbappe already has wax figures at the Berlin Madame Tussauds museum as well as at the Grevin Museum in Paris.
