The assailants, equipped with machetes and axes, surrounded their victim and beat him brutally. The incident took place in the middle of the day, which further shocked the local community. It is also alarming that after the entire incident, the perpetrators calmly walked away as if nothing had happened.

The boy is in the hospital, with injuries that are not life-threatening. The footage of the attack has surfaced online.

In the past year, 55,008 knife-related crimes were reported, an increase of 4 per cent compared to the previous year. In 2024, 262 people died due to knife violence, including 52 people under 25.
