The missile strike resulted in the death of one port worker and injuries to eight others. Four of these individuals are in serious condition. "Sadly, one person died - a port worker. We extend our sincerest condolences to the deceased's family and friends. Eight people were injured, including civilian company employees. Four of them are in serious condition. All are receiving medical treatment," wrote Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba on Telegram.
What are Ukraine's further actions?
Due to the attack, the engine room suffered damage, windows and doors in administrative buildings were shattered, and vehicles and equipment were destroyed. "There was not a single military facility, only civilian infrastructure," noted Kuleba. The Deputy Prime Minister reminded that during the conflict, Russia has damaged or destroyed nearly 400 port infrastructure facilities, over 30 ships, and 106 civilians have been injured.

Kuleba emphasised the necessity of bolstering the protection of port infrastructure and continuing efforts to ensure the freedom and safety of navigation. "We need to strengthen the protection of our port infrastructure. We must continue to work towards ensuring freedom and safety of navigation. Weapons and diplomacy are our tools on the path to peace and justice," emphasised the Deputy Prime Minister.
