On Tuesday, 13 August, Elon Musk interviewed Donald Trump. Musk discussed many topics with the former President of the United States, including the war in Ukraine and Vladimir Putin. Trump expressed hope for re-establishing good relations with the President of Russia.

Through the platform X (which he owns), Elon Musk spoke with the former President of the United States, Donald Trump. The owner of SpaceX and Tesla officially endorsed Trump's candidacy in July after an unsuccessful assassination attempt on his life.

During the chaotic conversation that lasted over two hours, which drew attention to both domestic and international politics, Trump accused the current President, Joe Biden, of causing Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. He also pointed out that as President, he would not have allowed Russia to attack Ukraine, highlighting his previous good relations with Putin.

- We would talk a lot about Ukraine. It was the apple of his eye. But I said 'Don't ever do it.' I said to Vladimir Putin, ‘Don’t do it. You can’t do it, Vladimir. You do it, it’s gonna be a bad day. You cannot do it.’ And I told him things that what I do, and he said, ‘No way,’ - reminisced Donald Trump.

The former President of the USA noted that he "got along with Putin very well" and hopes to get along well with him again.

The conversation between Trump and Musk touched on various important issues, from foreign policy to the economy. Both agreed on the significance of matters such as illegal immigration, criticism of the EU, and also the need to support Israel. They highlighted the need for changes in energy and defence policies.

Trump repeatedly criticised the actions of the current President of the USA, Joe Biden. He accused him of weak political decisions and portrayed a scenario of the United States in crisis in the event of the Democratic candidate being re-elected as President.

Numerous technical problems accompanied the conversation between the politician and the billionaire. Musk and his team had to deal with a cyber attack that disrupted and delayed the interview broadcast. Commentators also pointed out Trump’s unusual lisping.
