Skin discolouration can result from various factors that increase melanin production and skin pigmentation. One of the main causes is excessive exposure to UV radiation. The sun stimulates melanocytes to produce more melanin, which can lead to dark spots on the skin. Another significant factor is hormonal changes, which can result in the formation of melasma.

Lemon – the power of natural care

With its citric acid and vitamin C content, Lemon is one of the most effective ingredients for combating discolouration. It also acts as a natural brightener, helping to even out skin tone. To use lemon's properties, squeeze the juice from half a lemon and mix it with water. The resulting tonic can gently cleanse your skin.

Milk and honey – a duo for the skin

The lactic acid in milk acts as a gentle exfoliant, helping reduce discolouration. In combination with honey, which has moisturising and antibacterial properties, it creates an ideal mask. Mix milk with honey and apply it to the skin for about 15 minutes. Regular use of this mask will significantly improve your skin condition.

Cucumber and yoghurt – refreshing mask

Cucumber, known for its moisturising properties, can help reduce dark spots. Grate a cucumber and mix it with natural yoghurt to create a nourishing mask. Apply it to your face for about 20 minutes, then wash off with cold water.

Herbs in the fight against discolouration

Herbs like chamomile or green tea have soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. Infusions of these herbs can be used as a facial toner to reduce the visibility of discolouration gently. Regular application of these infusions can significantly improve your skin appearance.

A diet rich in antioxidants

Protecting the skin from discolouration requires external care and a healthy diet. Products rich in vitamins A, C, and E, such as carrots, spinach, and nuts, support regeneration and protect against UV effects. A wholesome diet is key to keeping skin in excellent condition.
