Polish investment in Swindon promises £1.2 billion boost
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has expressed his appreciation for the Polish company Panattoni's investment in the UK. In Parliament, he acknowledged that the logistics centre, Park Swindon, which is set to commence construction in 2024, will create new jobs and boost the UK economy.
Prime Minister Starmer highlighted the importance of Panattoni's investment in Swindon, southern England. This company, managed by Robert Biedrzycki, is developing a logistics centre for highly skilled workers in the UK.
Starmer referred to a topic raised by Will Stone, a Member of Parliament for the region, who extended an invitation to the Prime Minister to visit the logistics centre as it develops.

Biedrzycki shared a recording on LinkedIn from the British Parliament, where Prime Minister Keir Starmer confirmed that the significant investment by the Polish company would bolster the British economy. He valued its impact at £1.2 billion.
"This project could create over 11,000 local jobs and add £1.2 billion to the economy," said Starmer. While he did not commit to visiting the site, he expressed optimism that the project would contribute to the economic growth of both Poland and the United Kingdom. The Polish investment has been positively received in the UK from the outset. The previous British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, has already visited the construction site.
"Panattoni is proud to be transforming one of the largest brownfield sites in the United Kingdom into a world-class manufacturing and logistics centre, covering 7.2 million square feet," Biedrzycki announced online. He highlighted that Panattoni is currently the largest logistics developer in Europe. In 'Business Class,' he stated that the development volume he oversees in Europe amounts to €5 billion.
