The Portuguese broadcaster reported that the Duke of Sussex and his wife bought a house in Comporta, over 95 kilometres south of Lisbon.
Harry and Meghan's property is near the popular Comporta beach, which boasts several luxury hotels and a golf course.
According to Portuguese media, Prince Harry became acquainted with the Alentejo region in 2023 when he and his wife visited his cousin, Princess Eugenie, who, some years ago, bought a house in the town of Melides, 30 kilometres south of Comporta, with her husband, Jack Brooksbank.
Prince Harry and his wife, Duchess Meghan, reside in Montecito, California. Their house has nine bedrooms and 16 bathrooms and is set on a large plot featuring a rose garden and century-old olive trees. The property also includes an extensive garden and a swimming pool. The couple keeps animals, including chickens. The estate cost nearly 14 million euros. The couple married in May 2018.
The couple's impressive wealth
Harry's total fortune is estimated at 35-47 million euros depending on the source. This largely consists of money that the prince inherited from his mother, Princess Diana.
The initial inheritance was 11 million euros, but the funds were invested and have grown. Additionally, there is approximately 8 million euros from the Queen Mother, who placed this amount in a trust fund.
Harry's wealth also includes earnings from his military service (in line with British tradition). It is believed he earned about 47-59 thousand euros per year.
Meghan has accumulated a significant sum. She earned about 47 thousand euros per episode of "Suits." Her lifestyle blog, "Tig," was valued at 71 thousand euros per year before she closed it. She also owns at least one property in Toronto. Her net worth is estimated to be 6 million euros in total.
The couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement before marrying, meaning their wealth is joined and would be divided in the event of a divorce.
