  • On Wednesday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and provincial premiers discussed the potential impact of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's threats to impose a 25% tariff on goods from Canada and Mexico, citing concerns like illegal immigration and drug trafficking from China. A press release from the Prime Minister's office highlighted Trudeau's assertion that Canada's economic ties with the U.S. are among the nation's greatest strategic advantages amid global uncertainty.
