Razer unveils AI tools on AWS to reshape game development
Razer has announced the launch of its AI Game Developer Tools on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud. Moving developer solutions to the cloud enhances scalability and improves accessibility.
The gaming industry is in a state of evolution. The methods of gameplay, the model of gaming, and the game creation process are all undergoing change. Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly prominent in this context. Razer is embracing this trend by introducing new AI tools for game developers. The new solutions – Razer Game Assistant and Razer QA Companion – are part of the WYVRN ecosystem, an innovative AI-based gaming system developed by Razer to expedite and revolutionise the game creation process.
Razer Game Assistant
Originally presented as Project AVA at CES 2025, the Razer Game Assistant utilises advanced artificial intelligence to offer expert advice in real-time, personalised tips, post-game analysis, and insights into hardware performance.
This tool, which can learn from data specific to the game genre and has direct integration with gameplay, enhances the player experience and opens a new chapter in interactive AI-supported games.
Razer QA Companion
This AI-based tool is dedicated to the quality assurance (QA) process in game testing. Acting as an intelligent assistant, it automatically detects and logs bugs, crashes, and performance issues. Seamlessly integrating with QA teams, it boosts the efficiency of bug detection, shortens development cycles, and enhances the overall quality of games.
Available as a plugin for Unreal, Unity, and custom C++ engines, the QA Companion easily fits into existing workflows. Ready-made templates tailored to various game genres minimise the need for manual script writing, facilitating faster QA setup.
To further enhance the capabilities of the QA Companion, Razer has partnered with the global gaming services provider Side to jointly develop advanced automated QA testing tools. Leveraging Side’s expertise in quality assurance services offered worldwide, the collaboration aims to explore new methods of automating quality control, increase efficiency, and reduce time-to-market for both developers and end users.
Scaling with AWS
Following a successful debut at the Game Developers Conference 2025, the Razer AI Game Developer Tools are currently in the beta testing phase, both in AAA studios and among independent developers. As part of its vision for the future of AI gaming, Razer is expanding access to these tools using AWS's secure infrastructure, ensuring global scalability and allowing developers to streamline workflows, increase productivity, and accelerate development cycles.
Soon to be available worldwide on AWS Marketplace, the Razer Game Assistant and QA Companion will allow developers quick access to AI-based tools. With a simplified ordering process on AWS Marketplace, studios will be able to integrate these solutions into their infrastructure effortlessly.
