On Thursday late in the evening, rockets were launched from launchers located in Lebanon towards northern Israel. Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack. The Israeli army quickly responded to the shelling.

Recordings of the evening attack appeared on social media. They show several white points in the night sky. According to reports, these are rockets launched by Hezbollah towards Israel.

The AFP agency, citing information from the Israeli army, reported before midnight that the launcher used by Hezbollah for the attack was destroyed.

For now, there is no information about any potential casualties on the Israeli side. In the past, most of the missiles used in attacks on Israel were neutralised by Israeli missile defence systems before reaching their targets.

Threats against Israel. "Crossed a red line"

AFP points out that this was the first attack carried out by Hezbollah after Israel killed Fuad Shukr - the chief military commander of this terrorist organisation - earlier this week.

Earlier, Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah stated that after Shukr’s death, the war with Israel has entered a "new phase." - Israel has crossed a red line and must expect fury and revenge - he announced.

Hezbollah maintains that it was not responsible for Saturday’s attack on the town of Majdal Shams in the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights, which killed 12 children and teenagers. According to authorities in Jerusalem, Shukr was personally responsible for both this and other attacks targeting Israel, which is why he was killed.
