Royal rift deepens: Family discord blocks Harry's reunion

New information suggests that it is not King Charles III who is obstructing reconciliation with his son, Prince Harry. According to media reports, other members of the royal family—such as Prince William, Princess Kate, and Queen Camilla—are impeding the restoration of the father-son relationship.

During a conversation with the BBC, Prince Harry admitted that his relationship with his father, King Charles, is more strained than ever. "I don't know how much longer my father has, he won't speak to me because of this security stuff. It would be nice to reconcile," Harry remarked.

In his book "Spare," Prince Harry openly discusses factors affecting his relationship with his father. He mentions that even during Prince William's wedding, he felt he should have been the first to marry because he deeply desired it.

Harry admitted that he had always assumed he would become a young husband and father, explaining that this decision stemmed from his desire not to follow in his own father's footsteps.

The latest report by Laura Pullman for "The Times" sheds new light on the reconciliation issue. Pullman notes that Charles III’s relationship with Harry hasn't always been tense. Although the prince frequently mentioned his father's coldness, many of his own recollections contradict this.

As reported by Pomponik, the first cracks in the father-son relationship appeared after Princess Diana's death. Tom Bower, author of the biography "Meghan, Harry and the Windsor Feud," claims that Charles neglected Harry at that time, prioritising his relationship with Camilla and his royal duties. Meanwhile, William was being prepared by Queen Elizabeth II for his future role as heir to the throne, leaving Harry feeling overlooked.

Charles is not the primary opponent of reconciliation: Prince William, Princess Kate, and Queen Camilla have significant influence on this matter and are the ones hindering the mending of the father-son bond.

In his book, Harry also addresses rumours concerning his biological father. The media speculated that Major James Hewitt could be his real father, but in "Spare," Harry clarifies that King Charles never broached this subject.

Despite Harry's expressed desire for reconciliation, the royal family has remained silent. An anonymous source close to King Charles stated that "there is no trust," and added that the family does not believe private conversations with Harry are currently possible.
