Russia is increasing its activities in the Black Sea. On Sunday morning (24th November), it released its six warships for combat operations, reports RBC-Ukraine.

According to the Ukrainian Navy, three of these are equipped with Kalibr rocket systems—sea-launched cruise missiles with a range of up to 2,500 kilometres, comparable to American Tomahawks. The Russian ships observed by Ukrainians can launch up to six missiles in one salvo.

Meanwhile, no hostile units were observed in the Sea of Azov, stated the Ukrainian Naval Forces. They also reported no threat from Russia in the Mediterranean Sea.

Russia increases activity in the Black Sea

On Saturday, the Ukrainian military recorded the presence of twenty hostile ships in the Black Sea, six of which are equipped with Kalibr missile systems, capable of launching a total of 23 missiles in a single salvo.

"It is a dangerous weapon, but no longer as effective. Its efficiency has significantly decreased. However, we shouldn’t completely rule it out," said Dmytro Pletenchuk, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, as quoted by RBC-Ukraine.
