Russia denies bombing civilian targets amid rising fatalities

The Russians are attempting to evade responsibility for the attack on Kryvyi Rih. The Russian Ambassador to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, claimed that as a result of the bombing, "The enemy’s losses amounted up to 85 servicemen and foreign officers." Evidence indicates that the politician's assertion is false. Only civilians perished during the attack.

On 4 April, a Russian Iskander-M ballistic missile struck Kryvyi Rih. The bombing resulted in the deaths of at least 20 people. Among the victims were nine children and eleven adults. All were civilians.

Footage of the attack on Volodymyr Zelensky's hometown has surfaced online. It shows, among other things, the moment of impact on a local restaurant. The strike on Kryvyi Rih is the most tragic attack on civilians since the start of this year and is one of the largest since the onset of the war.

Russia is unwilling to admit responsibility for the criminal attack on civilians. The Russian Ambassador to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, falsely claimed during a Security Council meeting that the target of the Russian army's strike was Ukrainian military personnel and foreign agents. He also provided incorrect data regarding the casualties.

The target of the attack on Kryvyi Rih on 4 April was a restaurant where enemy soldiers and foreign officers were present. By decision of the Russian Defence Minister, a precision bomb attack was carried out, in which a total of 85 soldiers from Ukraine and foreign countries (including NATO), who were providing operational advice and instructions, were killed, Vasily Nebenzya stated without a hint of embarrassment.

According to the Russian ambassador, the presence of foreign intelligence and Ukrainian officers at the site was used as a justification for the bomb attack. However, Nebenzya failed to mention the civilian casualties, including children.
