Tragic consequences of the attack on Odesa

Russian troops carried out a massive drone attack on Odesa, causing severe damage to civilian infrastructure.

"The enemy attacked Odesa using drones. There was extensive damage to civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings. Fires broke out in some areas. (...) As a result of the strike, two people were killed, and five others were injured. Medics are providing necessary assistance to the injured. The response to the strike is ongoing," wrote Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa regional military administration.

What actions were taken after the attack?

The State Emergency Service (SES) of Ukraine reported that in addition to the two fatalities, 15 people were injured.

"Russian large-scale attack on Odesa. Unfortunately, two people were killed, and according to preliminary information, 15 more were injured. Residential buildings, private homes, a supermarket, a school, and cars were damaged," noted in the SES statement on Telegram.

More than 200 people were evacuated from one of the high-rise buildings, and medics are providing necessary assistance to the injured.
