On Tuesday, 25 June, the media reported the death of Seth Binzer, also known as Shifty Shellshock, the lead vocalist of the band Crazy Town. A representative of the artist revealed in an interview the cause of death of the 49-year-old. The artist had struggled with alcohol and drug addiction for many years. In 2012, he was even hospitalised due to an overdose.

Let us remember that Seth Binzer, also known as Shifty Shellshock, the lead vocalist of the band Crazy Town, became famous for his hit "Butterfly" in 1999. He passed away at the age of 49.

According to the band’s manager, Howie Hubberman, the lead vocalist of Crazy Town, Shifty Shellshock, died as a result of an accidental drug overdose.

Shellshock, whose full name was Seth Binzer, died from "a combination of prescription medications and street drugs". Hubberman conveyed this information to People magazine.

The artist had struggled with alcohol and drug addiction for many years. In 2012, he was even hospitalised due to an overdose. He fell into a coma but eventually recovered. Later, he repeatedly checked into rehab.

Although Crazy Town never replicated the commercial success of the single "Butterfly", the group continued to operate with minor breaks and personnel changes since the mid-'90s. Their debut album sold over 1.5 million copies. Shellshock was one of the band's founders.

Seth Binzer passed away on Monday, 24 June, at his home in Los Angeles. The vocalist was 49 years old at the time of his death.

Binzer has a son named Halo with his ex-wife Melissa Clark. They married in 2002, but Melissa filed for divorce in 2011 after six years of separation. Binzer later began a relationship with Jasmine Lennard in 2010, and they have a son named Phoenix. Their relationship ended after his arrest in 2012.
