Two children are dead, and nine people were injured, six of whom are in critical condition. This is the tragic outcome of a stabbing attack that took place in Southport, in north-western England. Terrifying accounts from witnesses have come to light. Many of them have never seen anything like it before.

The tragic incident occurred on Monday at the community centre in Southport, a picturesque town in north-western England.

The nightmare unfolded during a session for children advertised as "a morning of yoga, dancing, and bracelet-making to the music of Taylor Swift". The participants were children aged 6 to 11 years old.

At one point, a young armed man burst into the hall and began stabbing people.

Terrifying witness accounts of the incident

Witnesses recounted seeing bloodied children running out of the building. They described the scene as "horrifying". Many of them had never seen anything like it before.

Colin Parry, the owner of an auto repair shop next to the attack site, described noticing a young man in a green hoodie and mask just before the incident. The man arrived by taxi but refused to pay. Later, he saw many "bleeding children".

Another person present at the scene highlighted that the sight of crying mothers and injured children resembled "scenes from a horror movie". Southport resident Mrs. Karolina Kamińska recounted how she spent an hour terrified, locked up in her home, fearing for her safety.

We will all support each other greatly. We will show such people that it leads nowhere, only to the harm of innocents, said Karolina Kamińska, who runs a solarium near the incident site.

The united kingdom: Tragic aftermath of the stabbing attack

Armed officers, 13 ambulances, and the fire brigade arrived very quickly. Unfortunately, for some, it was already too late. As a result of the stabbing attack, two children lost their lives, and nine people were injured, six of whom are in critical condition.

Injured adults showed immense courage, trying to save the youngest ones. Many people, including neighbours and passers-by, united to help the injured children.

Alder Hey Hospital, where the injured were taken, appealed to parents to bring children only in urgent cases, indicating the enormous strain on the facility in the face of this tragedy.

The services arrested the 17-year-old perpetrator from Banks in Lancashire on charges of murder and attempted murder in connection with the attack on children in Southport. The police also secured a knife, which was most likely used in the attack.

The suspect was taken to the police station, where he will be questioned by detectives conducting the investigation. Details regarding the 17-year-old's motives or the course of the attack have not yet been released. The investigation is ongoing. The attacker lived about five miles from the scene of the incident.
