Trump edges toward resuming intel sharing with Ukraine

Donald Trump, the president of the United States, admitted on Sunday that the Country has "just about have" ended the suspension of intelligence information exchange with Ukraine. When questioned about the upcoming talks between the US and Ukrainian delegations, scheduled for Tuesday in Saudi Arabia, he expressed optimism. However, he noted that Ukrainians have not demonstrated a desire for peace "to the extent that they should."

According to the Reuters agency, Trump, when asked aboard Air Force One on his return from Florida to Washington, whether he is considering ending the suspension of intelligence support for Ukraine, stated: "We just about have. We just about have."

The American President also expressed optimism about the talks between US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiha, which are set to occur on Tuesday in the Saudi Arabian capital, Riyadh.

Trump on Ukraine: I want them to want peace

"We're going to make a lot of progress, I believe, this week," said Trump, expressing confidence that Kyiv will sign an agreement with the USA regarding exploiting Ukrainian mineral resources.

"They will sign the minerals deal but I want them to want peace... They haven't shown it to extent they should," Trump emphasised.

The Ukrainian delegation will also include Andriy Yermak, head of the president's office; Rustem Umerov, defence minister; and Pavlo Palisa, Deputy Head of the President's Office. In addition to Rubio, the US will be represented by National Security Advisor Michael Waltz and Special Middle East Envoy Steve Witkoff.

The meeting will take place in the same location and under a similar format as the meetings between US and Russian delegations in February. However, the Russian side will not be participating in the talks this time.
