On Thursday night, Donald Trump flew from Washington to Florida aboard Air Force One. While aboard, he introduced the "gold card."

Trump: "For $5 million, this could be yours"

Previously, reporters queried Trump regarding the "historic tariffs" he had imposed.

At a certain point, Trump revealed his "gold card" immigration plan, which, as he had announced earlier, he plans to sell for five million dollars (approximately €4.5 million).

"For $5 million, this could be yours," he told the journalists.

He stated that this card will offer affluent buyers permanent residency in the US along with a pathway to citizenship.

The "gold card" programme. Even for Russian oligarchs?

By the end of February, Trump announced that the "gold card" programme would be launched in mid-March. At that time, he did not discount the possibility that the right to purchase "gold cards" might also extend to Russian oligarchs.

"Hey, I know some Russian oligarchs that are very nice people. " He added, "They are not as wealthy as they used to be; I think they can afford $5 million." He stressed that the programme is intended to attract investors who will contribute to the country's economic growth.
