Trump questions Putin's intentions amidst Ukraine missile attacks

Donald Trump criticised Russia and Vladimir Putin's behaviour. The American president once again addressed the recent large-scale missile attack on Ukraine. "It makes me think that maybe he doesn’t want to stop the war, he’s just tapping me along, and has to be dealt with differently," he wrote on social media.

Donald Trump referred on social media to the ongoing negotiations between Russia and the USA about ending the war in Ukraine. The American president stated that no matter "if it’s the greatest deal ever made," it will still be criticised by some of the press unfriendly to him.

Trump takes a jab at Putin

"This is 'sleepy' Joe Biden's war, not mine," Trump stated. "It was a loser from day one, and should have never happened, and wouldn’t have happened if I were President at the time," he pointed out.

Trump also criticised Vladimir Putin and Russia. "With all of that being said, there was no reason for Putin to be shooting missiles into civilian areas, cities and towns, over the last few days. It makes me think that maybe he doesn’t want to stop the war, he’s just tapping me along, and has to be dealt with differently, through "Banking" or "Secondary Sanctions?,'" he pointed out.

"Too many people are dying!!!" Trump emphasised once again.

On Saturday in Vatican City, President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Donald Trump at St. Peter's Basilica. The leaders, sitting on chairs face to face, talked with each other for about 15 minutes. This was the first meeting since the incident that occurred at the White House at the end of February 2025.
