Progress in talks with Putin

The US President, Donald Trump, on Monday shared information about his phone conversation with Vladimir Putin. Trump stated that some progress had been made towards peace.

The President also mentioned that Putin told him that in Russia, they highly respect his wife, to which Trump replied: "What about me?" Putin responded that they preferred Melania. "I don't know if that was good," he joked.

Pope Leo XIV as mediator

Trump was asked whether Vladimir Putin wants peace and whether Pope Leo XIV could help achieve it. He affirmed both questions.

Earlier on the Truth Social platform, he informed that the Vatican had expressed willingness to organise negotiations. The President emphasised that the conflicting parties must agree on the terms of the agreement, as they are most familiar with the details.
