The Ukrainian Air Force carried out a successful mission, demolishing the command post of the Russian 81st self-propelled artillery regiment in the Kherson region. As reported by the Strategic Communications Centre of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the expertise of Ukrainian pilots led to the complete destruction of the concrete structure. The attack resulted in the deaths of between 20 and 30 individuals, significantly weakening the combat capabilities of Russian units in the area.

Russian forces launched a night attack on Ukraine, deploying 55 drones, which included Shahed strike UAVs and various types of decoy drones. The assaults commenced from the directions of Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Crimea. Ukrainian air defence managed to down 32 drones, while eight were disabled using electronic warfare measures.

As a result of the Russian drone attack in Dnipro, 15 people were injured, and several fires broke out in the city. Mykola Lukashuk, head of the regional council, reported this information. The attacks also impacted the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions, where most drones were intercepted.

Russia is preparing for an offensive

In recent weeks, Russia has increased its offensive activities on various fronts in Ukraine. According to the RBK-Ukraine portal, the aggressors are attempting to capture more territory to strengthen their position ahead of potential peace talks.

Russian forces have reduced the area under Ukrainian control in the Kursk region to approximately 52 square kilometres. These advances could lead to new threats, as Russia might use tens of thousands of troops to attack other fronts. The Sumy and Kharkiv regions are particularly vulnerable, and Russia aims to establish a buffer zone there.

In the Lyman direction, the Russians persist in their attacks along the western bank of the Zherebets River. In the Donetsk region, around Toretsk, the situation is escalating, with the Russians displacing Ukrainian forces from the city centre. Nevertheless, Ukrainian counterattacks near Pokrovsk have impeded the Russian progress. In southern Ukraine, in the Kherson direction, the situation remains stable. Russian forces are attempting to entrench themselves on the Dnipro islands but remain targets of Ukrainian artillery.
