The bomb constructed by the 37-year-old man and his 25-year-old wife was used in an attack carried out in Dnipro on 14 December 2024. One person died, and four were injured.

Acting on orders from Russian services, the couple hid the explosive in a designated location and then observed its collection by the perpetrator of the attack.

After the attack, the couple moved to another flat to try to cover their tracks. They were detained at the new address, where evidence of their contacts with Russian services was found, including instructions on producing explosives.
