Ukrainian drones spark massive blaze in Leningrad oblast
An industrial zone is ablaze in Gatchina, located in the Leningrad Oblast. The industrial plants there came under attack from Ukrainian drones early in the morning. This target lies over 620 miles from the front line.
Recordings shared on Telegram depict a massive fire that erupted in the industrial zone in Gatchina, Leningrad Oblast. This area includes facilities such as the 218th Aircraft Repair Plant. Ukrainian media state that the affected plants produce acetone.
The recordings and photographs reveal billowing smoke and fierce flames. Russian authorities have yet to release details regarding the fire's cause. However, local media report that explosions can be heard nearby, with "emergency services actively on-site" and the fire "visible from many miles away." The Russian Ministry of Defence reported only that approximately 40 Ukrainian drones were shot down that night.
There are currently no reports of any casualties.
Ukrainian drones in the Rostov region
This was not the only target attacked by Ukrainian drones last night. Fires and explosions were also reported in the Rostov region, where military facilities are situated.
Local Russian media reported that residents heard at least ten explosions, after which the on-site plants caught fire.
