Ukrainians have successfully destroyed the last of the bridges on the Sejm River in the Kursk region, located in the southwestern part of Russia, according to Telegram channels Mash and Shot on Monday, citing Russian military bloggers.

As the bloggers highlight, with the destruction of the bridge, part of the Glushkovo district, which borders Ukraine, has been cut off from the rest of the region. The bridge also played an important logistical role for Russian forces in the area.

"Now Russian soldiers in the southern Glushkovo district are forced to use ferries and pontoon bridges," wrote blogger Podolaka. He added that the destroyed bridge was located near the village of Karyzh.

Evacuation of Kursk

The first bridge in the Glushkovo district was destroyed by Ukrainian forces on Friday, and the second one on Sunday.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have been carrying out operations in the Kursk region of Russia since 6 August. More than 1,700 residents of the region were evacuated over the past day, said Irina Tolmacheva, spokeswoman for the region's governor, as quoted by Russian media on Sunday.
