Bulgaria has been a popular destination for years. The coastline of Europe’s cheapest Riviera is filled with hotels. The country by the Black Sea, however, is not only about beaches and hotels but also landmarks and tourist attractions. To see them, one has to step out of the accommodation facility. When our reader did so, one thing surprised her.

Parking in Bulgaria

Walking around Sunny Beach, she noticed an equally interesting and surprising practice of locals. It concerns the method of reserving free parking spaces.

Just the act of making such reservations in a tourist town in a public place accessible to everyone is surprising, but that’s not what shocked her the most. Bulgarians were reserving spots using various items, such as 20-litre water bottles.

Other parking spots were also reserved using plastic chairs, barrels or buckets.

Holiday in Bulgaria

Tourists are attracted to the Black Sea because of the sunny weather, rich hotel offerings, and relatively attractive prices. Therefore, Bulgaria has rightly earned the nickname of the cheapest European riviera. A week-long all-inclusive hotel holiday can be spent even in September starting from €340 per person. The price, including the hotel stay and full board, naturally includes the flight, transfer, and insurance.

On the other hand, those who like to plan holidays can already book a week-long all-inclusive stay in Bulgaria at a price not exceeding €415 per person.
