US Defence Secretary under fire for involving wife in NATO talks

According to The Wall Street Journal, Pete Hegseth, the US Secretary of Defence, brought his wife Jennifer Hegseth to two meetings with foreign military officials. Sensitive information was discussed during these meetings.
Jennifer Hegseth, a former Fox News producer, is not employed by the US Department of Defense. Nevertheless, she attended meetings with UK Defence Secretary John Healey and at NATO headquarters in Brussels, where discussions about Ukraine took place.
Took his wife to secret meetings
The meeting with John Healey occurred a day after the US announced it would cease sharing intelligence with Kyiv. The talks covered the reasons for this decision and future military cooperation between allies.
Meanwhile, in Brussels, Jennifer Hegseth participated in a meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, which consists of 50 countries. Confidential information is routinely discussed at this forum.
"WSJ" reports that some officials at the meetings did not know who Jennifer Hegseth was, while others were surprised by her presence but did not object to continuing the discussions.
