Winter hair woes: The surprising solution in your kitchen

Winter is not the best time for our hair. It tends to fall out, become frizzy, and get tangled, leading to knots. You don't have to spend a fortune on store-bought conditioners to remedy this. All you need is a kitchen remedy that can work wonders.

We've all likely had issues with frizzy hair at some point. It can occur regardless of age, hair structure, or length. The key is proper care. Learn how to take care of it to eliminate this problem once and for all.

Why does hair tangle?

This issue most often affects damaged hair that is dry, dull, and brittle. Causes include improper care or frequent colouring, especially bleaching. The hair cuticles become more open, making it easier for knots to form.

Neglecting to comb the hair before washing or sleeping with wet hair can also cause knots. Additionally, in winter, our strands are more prone to frizz, for example, due to wearing hats and scarves made from synthetic materials.

Solution for frizzy hair

One of the best natural solutions for tangled and frizzy hair is apple cider vinegar. This kitchen staple is much cheaper than store-bought products and can perfectly smooth and add shine to hair. It makes hair less prone to tangling and knotting.

Simply mix half a cup (about 120 ml) of apple cider vinegar with a litre of water. Rinse your hair thoroughly with this mixture and massage it into your scalp, then leave it on for a few minutes. After that, rinse it out thoroughly.

Apple cider vinegar adds shine to our strands and nourishes, regenerates, and improves their condition. Additionally, its antibacterial and antifungal properties effectively deal with issues like dandruff and excessive scalp oiliness.
