Destructive drones: Russian assault devastates Zaporizhzhia
Russia conducted an attack on Zaporizhzhia on Friday evening. As a result, a family of three—a teenage daughter and her parents—died. The number of injured is also increasing, including an infant just a few months old.

The attack by Russian drones on Zaporizhzhia in southeastern Ukraine was reported on Friday evening by Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional authorities. According to his account, the Russians carried out over 10 attacks on the city.
"As a result of the attack, residential buildings, private cars, and social infrastructure facilities caught fire. The shockwave and debris damaged nearby buildings," Fedorov wrote on social media.
Consequences of the attack: fatalities and injuries
The head of the Zaporizhzhia regional authorities provided updated information about the incident from the moment of the attack. As he reported on Saturday afternoon, the number of injured increased to 14, including a nine-month-old infant.
Fedorov reported that the attack resulted in the deaths of an entire family. Rescuers recovered the bodies of the 17-year-old daughter and her father from the rubble. Despite doctors fighting for over 10 hours to save the mother’s life, she ultimately did not survive.
In Saturday's communications on the Telegram platform, he also reported air raid alarms in the region.
Zaporizhzhia was not the only target of Russian attacks. In the Sumy region, at least six guided bombs dropped, resulting in two deaths and at least two injuries. In the Donetsk region, in the city of Kostiantynivka, Russian forces dropped three bombs. The attack resulted in one death.
