According to Telegram channels from occupied Crimea, there was a massive drone attack on Russian military facilities last night and this morning. The strikes were reported to be precise and targeted specific locations.

Recordings available online show fire and explosions. Recurrent explosions can also be heard.

War blogger and former Ukrainian Deputy Interior Minister Anton Gerashchenko, citing social media channels in Crimea, indicates that there was a detonation resulting from drone activity.

There have been reports about an ammunitions depot being hit and secondary detonations resulting from that – wrote Gerashchenko on platform X.

The Ukrainian armed forces have not yet confirmed the attack on Russian military facilities stationed in Crimea. The complete impact of the drone attack remains unknown.

The bombing of Crimea might have been in retaliation for an attack that the Russians carried out on Zaporizhzhia. Russian forces executed extensive shelling of Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia. A total of 150 drones participated in the attack. Ukrainska Pravda reports that 29 people were injured, while one person died.

Ukrainian air defence shot down 64 military aircraft. Substantial damage was also reported to civilian structures in the east, north, and centre of the country.

Many reports from Russian media and government representatives are likely not true. Such reports may be part of an information war by the Russian Federation.
