Brutal attacks on Christians in Nigeria
From March 27 to April 13, Fulani militias killed a total of 126 Christians, including women and children. As a result of these attacks, over 7,000 people were forced to leave their homes. The most tragic incident took place on April 13 in the village of Zike, where 56 people were killed, including 15 children.
Despite the presence of Nigerian military peacekeeping forces, no effective action has been taken to stop these attacks. Dr. John Eibner from CSI emphasizes the lack of effective intervention by Nigerian security forces and the absence of arrests.
Dramatic stories of attack victims in Nigeria
In a hospital in Jos, a CSI project manager met seven-year-old Nenche Steven, who survived the attack but lost his father and siblings. His mother was severely injured. Another victim, Naomi Ezekiel Gama, lost her husband, an Anglican pastor, during the attack on April 2.
Since 2013, CSI has been supporting victims of terrorist attacks in Nigeria. The organization calls for international assistance, highlighting urgent needs in food, medical care, and building materials. Dr. Eibner criticizes the lack of interest from Western leaders, who do not see the political or economic value of the victims.
